Not my style - but I *love* the mantilla. And I agree, it doesn't scream 'diva' if that, in fact, is the look you are going for. It's a very (typical) princess-y bride look. IMO.

it is very nice...but i see what u mean about it not screaming diva...looks more classic....which is fine...maybe with a different veil...it could be more diva

It's pretty. However it has an antique 'flavor' to it.

That is one amazing dress but it is a little too 'much' for me and if you want a diva look, I think you should keep looking. BTW do you have any diva wedding dress pics? Im curious.

It is pretty, but I think that it is a little too much. JMO.

For me it's not that it's too much -- it just doesn't say Diva.... it says 'Princess' to me... The mantilla is awesome and it almost lends some Diva to it, but not quite.

I love it!!! It doesn't seem Diva-like....more antique-y. But it is gorgeous!!! It's up to your taste.

Re: Is this dress too much
Your second dress *definitely* screams diva to me. Your first dress is pretty as well, not as diva-ish but certainly more diva than the one your mom loves.
Have you tried any of these on?

Re: Is this dress too much - added my choices
Though I love demetrios dresses I am more traditional................I like the one your mom picked..screams princess to me, not too much.................if you want diva then the second dress you posted is as diva as a wedding dress is going to get..........are u getting married in a church?

Re: Is this dress too much - added my choices
I tried both of them on. Everyone likes the 1st of my choice, but I like the 2nd one - again because it screams DIVA. None of my friends likes it though. They said it looks more like an evening dress than a wedding gown.
Yes we are getting married at St Martin in Amityville

It all depends on your taste. I think the first one is beautiful but it is more traditinal than the other 2 you chose. Follow your heart and pick the one you love.
I really like those diva ones, especially the first one.

I understand to the look you're going for so I think the first of your 2 coices is the one. I agree with your friends, I'm not as crazy about the second one. I know you're going for 'diva' but I think looking back, you may regret not having something a bit more wedding-like.
ETS: I'm not a big fan of dresses that are kind of trendy, I like more of a timeless look. JMO.
