I am 90% sure we are doing a donation as far as favors for the wedding, as most of you know FH suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury 3 years ago and we were going to make our donation to the Traumatic Brain Injury association since that cause is dear to us.
Sooo I was surfing the web and I found a website that makes custom wristbands (liek the 'live strong' ones) and I could have them made up to say
Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness (on one side) and Matthew and Shauna 08/27/2010 (on the other).
I was thinking of printing a scroll for each plac setting and enclosing the wristband inside the scroll. To add to the special-ness of it. The TBI awareness color is Kelly Green, Matt's FAVORITE color and he keeps asking to incorporate it some way. Buuuttt our color are Fuschia Black and White sooo Kelly Green doesnt quite go. Although this would work.
What does everyone think? I like the idea of a donation and also want something people can take home too. They are under a $1.00 each so it's not an expensive little extra.

I say you should do it. Especially if FH wants you to incorporate the color in some way. Its will be a reminder to your guests of how important this foundation is to you and your FH. I like the scroll idea also.

i dont think it matters if you have kelly green even though its not ur colors. Its the color to represent the charity you believe in...i say go for it!!!

I think it's a great idea.
I went to a wedding last summer where they did a donation to the American Cancer Society and with the donation cards gave everyone a Livestrong bracelet. I thought it was so cool.
I'm sure Matt would defintiely appreciate getting *some* say in the wedding too (i.e. finally getting to incorporate his fav color)

I think that's a great idea! Donation favors are awesome, IMO - I'm planning on doing one as well and have been struggling with also handing the guests a tangible favor. Very cool idea

Thanks yea I think I am gonna do it. Now I have to run it by FH he can be weird about not wanting to remember what he went through sometimes. he might feel that way for the wedding where I look at it as how far he has come.

I googled custom wristbands and there are ton's of sites, good you steal my favor idea, and I'm stealing your GM gift idea... they are all getting Patron and a cigar
