I wanted to add stuff to our cocktail hour because when compared with other catering halls we visited it didn't seem like we were getting too much. I have added 2 stations. If you were a guest at my wedding, would you think that this cocktail hour is sufficient?? Please be honest!
- 10 butler style hors d'oeuvres (passed during the cocktail hour) - Seasonal Fruit, Imported Cheese and Vegetable Station - Pasta Station with Assorted Bread (includes 2 different pastas) - Antipasto and Mediterrian Dishes Station - Carving Station (2 meats - Sirloin and Turkey) [we added this station] - Raw Bar (shrimp, oysters, clams) [we added this station]
TIA!!

It sounds fine to me. I'm not a picky person so I would be happy with what you're having.

IMO - the 10 'passed' ones is what kills it - i feel like no one gets those
mine has maybe 8 passed, 10 stations, the cheese and cold stuff area with about 10 things

Mine has passed hors d'eourves, cold stations, 4 chafing dishes, and 2 stations. I am worried too but my Mom and everyone else says its plenty.

ITA... I hate the passed appys because I feel like I never get them which annoys me because I love food!

How many people do you plan on having. That should determine if it's enough food.

Re: Is this enough cocktail hour food???
sounds good. but the carvnig station, i woudl add another meat instead of turkey
my rh included the carving station, and i made them replace turkey for lamb (which works out great since im greek lol)
i dont like the idea of serving turkey since it makes ppl sleepy

Re: Is this enough cocktail hour food???
sounds fine, a lot of CHs are over done with a ton of food (which includes mine not trying to offend anyone) FH and I just wanted a CH with a ton of food. I think what your offering is fine, they still have dinner to eat!

Re: Is this enough cocktail hour food???
Its plenty!
I went to a wedding in RI where the cocktail hour was cheese & veggies, a few passed, and a seafood bar. Everyone was able to enjoy their meal.
I also went to a wedding on LI this past winter where there was an antipasto station, a cheese station, and a pasta station, along with passed.
Again, no one was starving at the end of the night.
I think that its expected to have a crazy CH, but I don't think its necessary at all.
