I sent out all my invites including my bridesmaids. I get back one of my rsvp's from one of my bridesmaid saying she will not attend? Do you find this to be funny or am I overreacting?

i dont think its funny to the point where u crack up laughing.. but its deffiantely funny in a joking way. Especially if the BM has a sense of humor. Its understandeable u'd get mad tho bc ur stressing about everything. no need to worry about it tho.

She didn't write 'just kidding' on it or anything like that? If I were you that would stress me out and I'd have to call her to make sure she's coming to your reception (stranger things have happened). But if you know for sure she was joking, I'd still think it was stupid, but I guess it really wouldn't matter what she wrote.

Usually the people that you know are coming- do silly things like that.
One of our groomsmen wrote that he had an UNO tournament that night and could not attend.

my BF wrote she was coming with her 2 kids (no kids were invited)...i knew she was kidding & laughed at it...but we joke around all the time...guess it depends on your personality and your relationship with your friends...i would've laughed.

all of my BM's did this to me and i thought it was funny.
EDIT: my aunt sent her r.s.v.p back with her plus 10 because she knew i knew she was coming i had a lot of people try to play jokes on me with my r.s.v.p's i laughed

I think as long it is somebody that you know is def coming then it is funny, one of the GM replied that they will attend only if something better didn't come up in the meantime. We laughed, but he is a complete jokester all of the time!!

I think I would be confused at first if she didn't state 'just kidding' or something like that after she wrote 'will not attend' or however she wrote it.
I mean, I have had people RSVP for the e-party and other events (close people like BM's) with 'I'll have to check my schedule- LOL' but they wrote LOL ya know? Otherwise, it's just a little TOO smug-- meaning, wait, are they kidding or could they be serious?!
That's why I can't really blame you for being at first-- I would expect her to make it clear that it was a joke-- and write so in a light-hearted way.

I think it's funny, and even if it's not your humor, I'm sure her intention was not to upset you or be malicious - otherwise she wouldn't have done it!
