Original post by 20mrsc10

i think its a little too much.....i did draw a family tree since FH's parents have each been married multiple times and he has a ton of nephews and step-siblings.

def a good idea- since i hear alot of past brides saying that this one of their most regrets-not getting so and so's pic :) Im gonna do almost the same-

to be honest, i dont think the photographer will be able to remember the faces and then to match them up and he wont be able to bring it with him that day because it would mess up the flow of him taking candid shots i think. i mean i totally understand why you would want to do this and on paper its a good idea but i just dont think it will work on that day. plus, im sure even if he did remember, he would still confirm with you everyone because im sure he wouldnt want to mess up by going off of memory...oh and fathers and mothers, it will be very obvious who they are that day

i think its a little too much. besides once everyone is all dressed up that day the photog should be able to tell who the most important people are.

I think it is a good idea - but will your photographer actually 'study' it? I think you have a better bet at assigning one of your brides maids to keep checking with the photographer to make sure they got everyone. Maybe make a list and give it to a bm who knows the 'important people' you want pictures of and have her check with photographer throughout the wedding.

this is a great idea! i also wouldnt completely trust the photographer to remember the list....but from my experience most photographers already know which pics need to be taken...and with who

It is a bit overboard.

Your photog should know how to do his job,, and you will see he/she will get what you want. I think a list of must takes is a good idea.. but they dont need to car 5 list with their equipment.

ehh no need. its not like the photog is going to reffer to that list. soo much is going on.. and the photog wont be like 'oh aunt susan come here . let me take a pic of u alone' lol.. family will have their pix taken when u and ur fh are present. so theres no need for any of that. trust mee

i agree, he def wont be whipping it out referring to it throughout the night

This is a good idea and I would do it if it makes you feel comfortable!
But also, this is the photographer's job so they are experienced and know what they are doing. Giving them a list of names is sufficient, I feel.

If you are going to stress over it though, then definitely do the photo list!

Nothings wrong with that. My photographer suggested going on bridalcanvas.com and making a must take inspiration board.

I thinks its a waste of time personally - jmo

i agree. i dont think the photog is gonna bring the album with them the day of the wedding. when its time for family shots they are gonna know who is who because you will tell them right there. parents are pretty obvious. and any other family memeber like grandparents and aunts or whatever arent gonna be in a gazillion pics so simply having someone point them out and bring them to you for the 2 pics you take isnt gonna be a big deal

I think it would be more important to print some pics you might have seen on here or other websites of 'areas' you like or poses you like. The list of family member's is fine!!!

Like I know I want a pic of the whole BP up and down the archway outside JT. I am going to print one I have seen and give that to them. So not for them to recognize the people but the actual shot..

if that makes any sense
