We'd really like to have the valets leave something cute in peoples cars, like a custom air freshener with our names/wedding date and 'drive home safe!' or something along those lines. Maybe to hang from the rearview mirror. We'd prefer that to a keychain. My mom also suggested a window decal but I'd still prefer something to hang from rearview mirror if possible....?
However, we want to keep costs DOWN because we don't really expect people to keep things up long term. DIY would be fine as long as it doesn't look really crappy.
All of the custom airfreshener sites have really high minimums and we only expect to need 100 to 125 max. We really don't want to end up with 200, or 500 especially since the costs add up!
We also considered ordering custom coasters and holepunching them and adding ribbon, and hanging those -- we don't need them to smell (smell might bother some people).
Any ideas? I've been looking and looking and everything is for companies who want 500-2000 and can pay $40 setup fees, etc.
Please help! Or give alternative suggestions? Or how to do a DIY that won't look awful?
punch a hole in it and thread a pretty ribbon through it.
I would be hesitant to put air freshners in peoples car without them knowing I myself am an asthmatic and I would have a HORRIBLE asthma attack if someone put on in my car! SOme people are very sensitive to them!!

Hmm did you talk to the valet peopel yet.. i think the air freshner is such a cute idea..But if you really want to keep costs down what about just printing out a little note on cardstock paper and adding like a weddingish decal to it thanking them for coming to the wedding..!~

as one of those people who is highly allergic to EVERYTHING... including the air quality in most places.. lol. u'r so right to not do scented.. oh goodness if i got into my car an it had a new scent i might cry, cause i'd be sneezing all the way home.. .. lol
but the idea is FABULOUS and SOO original!!! way to go!!

Have you looked at (oriental trade.com ) they have some really cute things like some of these and they are not high at all.

people can be funny about their cars, especially guys..i know my FH would be pissed if someone messed with his mirror and left stuff in his car.

What about regular cheapo ol air fresheners and put a diy monogram label on it. (dollar store 3/$1)
you can leave them closed so no one has to smell them when they get in the car unless they want to
