I called my ob/gyn and talked to the nurse about some of my cycle issues and she suggested coming for a consultation.
so I schedule the consultation. I can't get in till october 21, thats ONE MONTH???
If I come during the day (would have to take off work) I can get in a week sooner.
Is this normal? What do they do if someone is having a problem? Do they take the more urgent patients sooner? Should I be worried that when I get pregnant it will take a month to get in to see the doctor??????

Re: Is this normal?
That is pretty normal. It always took me a month to get an appointment at my OBGYN even for my annual checkups. It is different when you pregnant and I would hope in an emergency.

that's normal....consultation appt's are in their office where you sit and chat. If you need an urgent appointment, they leave time slots in between all the other appointments.

Re: Is this normal?
Thanks.
I guess I just want my questions answered NOW so I can start this whole TTC thing already!!! (well, in a week and a half at least heheheh)
I should be ovulating toward the end of the honeymoon, but I seem to have a little trouble with short LP, and I wanted his feedback.
Guess I will have to wait till the next cycle.

Re: Is this normal?
When I wasn't pregnant I would have to schedule my doctor's appointments about a month in advance. Now I know why...she gives pregnant woman and emergencies the prime appointments.
Your doctor is probably the same way.

In my opinion it's a good sign if you are preggo they will see u sooner... You dont' want the doc who's appointment book is wide open
