I only have about 60 responses and I wrote

Respond on or before January 7th


Do people just wait until then or what????

i do not know why but yes people will wait till then. dont freek yet. but just so you know people will be putting them in the mail on the 7th.

Don't freak you still have almost 2 weeks and for my sisters wedding people waited until the very last minute to respond. And especially for you because alot of people were so preoccupied with holiday shopping. I'm sure now that Christmas is over you'll start to see the rest of the responses.

if it was my family i wouldn't be surprised....they are all last minute people. i heard that you will start to get a lot of yes responses right around or right after your rsvp date

i believe its quite normal for people to wait to the very last minute to mail those suckers out. i can imagine its quite annoying and stress-inducing to not have them all back in a timely fashion, but try not to freak out too much. you will get a lot back before and after jan 7. and then you get to sit down with your phone book and call all the losers who did not respond at all. good luck! ~lacey

Yes it is completely normal. You cannot call until after the deadline passes. I know that your wedding is the most important thing to you, but for everyone else, they were preoccupied with the hollidays. I am sure you will get a lot of RSVPs back after the new year. I think 2 weeks before my rsvp date I was still missing more than 1/2 of my responses. you are doing fine.

You also have to remember that it is the holidays. Post offices are backed up with mail. And are closed for the holidays. You will get cards this week I bet. People wait to the last minute for everything!!

Totally normal. Some people think the RSVP date is the date they're supposed to mail it back to you and some people think if they're not coming they don't have to respond at all. And then there are those who might never have received the invitation in the first place, so you might want to call the people who don't respond by the 7th just to be sure.
