fh and i are huge mets fans as well...but I personally am not a fan of mr. met at a wedding. I think it would be cute for another type of party but i just find it strange at a wedding. not trying to offend ppl who have had or plan to have him...just my opinion.

Would you guys be at the CH ? I am not stepping foot into my CH, I am staying in the bridal suite the whole time.

I think Mr. Met would take away from the bride & groom. It's your day you want everyone looking at you, not Mr. Met. It's definitely a cute idea though, maybe not for a wedding though.

Re: is this nuts??
i like it, FH wants him but he is very pricey, i believe $500 for 45 minutes, so i dont think we'll book him. I would have wanted him to come out right after the cake cutting... as i bought a Mr. Met cake for FH as a groom's cake surprise. you should type in mr. met at wedding in youtube, there is a funny video of mr. met dancing at a wedding

I think it's a great idea... but could you maybe only have him there for part of the time? So that way Mr. Met is not the main attraction for the entire CH?
You could get there, greet everyone, and then have Mr. Met arrive maybe 1/2 way through.

I really want to do this but FH is a Cubs fan so it wouldn't be worth it.

Personally I wouldn't do it at my wedding but that's b/c I'm not that into sports. However, I voted it as a great idea b/c weddings should be personalized and I think you should incorporate what ever you think will make your day more special and unique.
