i'm pretty sure i want to book with this one particular videographer....
he emailed me back on Friday saying 'Monday at 6:15 sounds great to me, I'll hold the hour for you.'
so today i replied back to HIS email, 'Hi, I'm just confirming our appointment tonite at 6:15pm'
THEN he replies back, 'Hi Sonia. how are you? I thought the appoinment was at 1pm but it's ok for you to come in around 6. I'll see you soon.'
i had replied to his actual email where he said 6:15pm was fine. do you think that he's implying that i got the time wrong and he's doing me a favor by telling me it's ok to come in around 6?
if that's the case i kind of want to bring a copy of our emails to show him. just so that he knows it was his fault and so something like this doesn't happen on the day of the wedding.
is that obnoxious/b*tchy of me?

I would mention it, but i dont think i'd bring the emails -- but maybe bring them just in case he says ''no, i never said that'

I honestly wouldn't bring emails. I'd just mention it to him when you meet with him. Something like, 'I guess you didn't get my response to your original email.'

I wouldn't go as far as bringing the e-mails to prove someone wrong....He said it is fine to come in at 6:15.... So then go....Don't read to far into it-
Don't forget they are dealing with 100's of people a day...I wouldn't get to hung up on the fact that you have proof....the vendor is wrong.
If you really want to say something- do it in a poliet way...'I guess you are so busy type thing.....'
My opinion. HTH

Honestly I would let it go. This is a potential vendor that you may be using for your wedding and you wouldn't want to start of this relationship on the wrong foot. Vendors have a huge impact on your wedding day and how it turns out. Be nice and remember that vendors deal with 100's of people a day.

I would let it go for now BUT I would hold onto the emails in the event you need them later on down the line if you do book with him and he ever does it again and gets upset with you, accusing you of making a mistake. Call me neurotic but I document EVERYTHING because as someone else said, they deal with 100s of people a day. Sometimes they forget and usually are fine with a gentle reminder. BUT some of them do get nasty and in that case, its always good to be able to back yourself up.

I would really let it go.
Maybe he wrote the time down incorrectly? If he's got all your other info correct and it's just this one thing... I really wouldn't worry about it.
I'd definitely not bring the emails!

Re: is this obnoxious of me?
haha thanks girls! i printed out the emails only because my fiance told me to but i didn't show them to the videographer or anything. i think my fiance's just anal about it because he's a sales manager and books events and such at his job and if someone brought up that he had mentioned the wrong appointment time, he would have liked to see documentation. haha again he's anal.
i casually mentioned to the vendor, oh i guess you're really busy and you mixed me up with another appointment and he's like no i had you for 1:00 but it's fine that you came at 6. so i just told him actually your email from last week said that it was fine to come at 6:15. he looked surprised and said oh our emails have been off and on lately. so who knows. but it's not a big deal and we booked with them!

I would let it go, its not a big deal...It happens and weve all made mistakes such as this. He wasn't mean about it or anything.

Re: is this obnoxious of me?
I think this would make me think twice about using them... if they can't get the appointment right now, what is to stop them from getting something wrong on the big day?
At the very least, I would print them emails, and mention it casually, but if it is denied, then show the proof.
As someone who has specialized in sales in the past, first impressions are the most important. If you can't get it right then, people won't trust you. He should know, so he doesn't lose business because of it....

I think it was just a mistake, don't stress over something like this, you have plenty of other things to stress over!! I probably wouldn't bring it up, and it wouldn't make me think twice about using them.

I'd let it go too. It's not worth putting someone on the defensive by trying to prove a point with printed out emails. He probably just forgot.

honestly, he probably just got mixed up. It happens. There's no need to bring in the emails or anything like that - if he makes an issue of it, then just don't book him, honestly. Who wants to hire somebody like that?
On the other hand, if it's just an honest mistake, then there's no point in starting a problem over it.
