Is this odd?

Is this odd?

So my BMs were over this weekend for a little get together, and of course we chatted bout the wedding.....the topic came up of who is coming and FH said 'no one is a definite until they send their little cards back to the bride to be' (love how FH wants the cards back too!)....and I was reminded one of my BM's cards was still missing so I jokingly made a comment about it. She was like, oh...you wanted that back? I replied very sweetly, yes please.

So....yesterday I get her card in the mail.....she RSVP'ed for one person.....but, she's married. I thought it was very odd that she would leave her husband home (I was a BM in their wedding years ago). So I texted her just to confirm, and she's like yea....he's gotta watch our kids, plus I want to be able to focus my attention on you. I text her back saying that stinks and made a comment that I guess her parents couldn't babysit....and she writes back....well, if something changes I figured it would be easier to add a person than to subtract.

Her parents babysit for her all the time, they just went to a wedding this past Friday and I know they both went because she was talking about it.....FH thinks this is so weird. Is it common for BM/GM to leave their spouse home?

i don't think it's odd at all ... they have kids so someone needs to watch them ... maybe the parents are busy that day.

Totally crashing

But I know a girl at work who was in a wedding party and left her spouse home from a wedding so she could give less money in the card.

Don't know this person and no suggesting anything just giving my opinion
