I have a wedding to go to in july, and I am sooo in love with this dress!! I was wondering if the color is ok, is this too close to wearing white? It says that the color is oatmeal. I am really laid back about this sort of thing so I was just curious to get some opinions. I'm wondering if it is someting that I'm not sure about if I should just continue looking? Please Help!

I have to agree with most.....I wouldnt wear it to a wedding. Its too close to white and it would upset me if someone came in a white dress to my wedding considering im hoping i am the only one in white. JMO.

Personally, I wouldn't wear such a light color to a wedding. A lot of people say they wouldn't care, but when it comes down to it, most do. I'd stick to a darker color for someone else's affair, and wear this to your RD or even your shower.

MMM, it's really cute HOWEVER it might upset the bride. If it were me, I'd buy it but save it for another non wedding related occasion.

My dress is this color. I would personally not wear this to someone's wedding. No matter how close they are to me.

DONT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!! i did and its a horrible looking dress... i actually sent it back to newport news and im not even sure if they received it so i may be out the money

Also, its not white... its more of an ivory/antiquey color... FH thought it looked like pantyhose material.... just soooo bad.... and the way it hung, really really horrible... please take my advice and look elsewhere

It's a pretty dress but i wouldn't wear it to a wedding. In pictures it looks white.

First off, if this is from Newport News....NO NO NO NO NO NO DON'T DO IT.
That being said, I would probably throw a smack down if someone came to my wedding in it. Sorry to be blunt, but it's the truth. I'd be furious. I think it's a perfect RD type dress...not a wedding.

If you like it, use it for the rehearsal dinner or your bridal shower. I would be annoyed if someone showed up to my wedding wearing that color dress, but that is just me.
It is a very cute dress though.

FSIL almost BOUGHT a white dress to wear! and she's the Best 'Woman' !!! FMIL had to tell her NOOO you can't wear white to a wedding unless you're a bride. Can you imagine if she was there up on the altar in a white gown? I wudda flipppppped

listen to the rest of the girls, don't do it. #1 Newport News stinks and #2 its tooo close to white... I have a summer wedding as well- i wanted to wear this beautiful red dress I have however I found out that the bridesmaids are wearing red and therefore I will not be wearing the dress. It's not fair to make anyone feel uncomfortable...

Yeah, I wouldn't wear white to a wedding. It's a BIG no-no! Emily Post would be very upset. Plus, it's the bride's day to wear white ONLY. I say, no way! Sorry!!

OH MY GOSH!! Thankfully FMIL was there to talk some sense into her! What in the world was she thinking???!??!?!?!?! Some people have NO CONSIDERATION!! That's worse than a guest wearing white because she will be standing up there with you guys!!!!!!!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
