My older sister (married 5 years ago).. thinks that it is pompus that i want to run a 2 minute video clip of fiance and i of pics through the years, and then filming us at the beach. is this pomus OR 'vein' as she put it? sometimes i can't stand her and shes MY MOH. She is very jealous that I will 'outdo' her and that my wedding will be better in some way shape or form.. she's not genuines happy for me and always says-- its just one day. (there are other issues here but i just want to validat that there is nothing wrong with showing a video CLIP of ourselves.)

I don't think it's either or. It's your choice. And you are showing your history with your friends and family? I personally wouldn't do it. But I have been to weddings where the Bride and Grooms have. It is a video or pictures, I have to go back and see what you wrote.

So it's a video of still pictures..... It's your wedding YOU do what you want. It's not a 'vein' thing. Obviously you want to show everyone how happy and in love the two of you are and how it's been through out the years..........

Maybe you can include some of your guest in the pics. Thats whay I plan on doing. Then end it with the two of you at the beach.

Don't let anyone change your mind if this is what you truly want. It's not like it's never been doen before. I just wouln't do it b/c it's not me. Not something I would want. But if I did, then no one would stop me from doing it!!!!!

I do not think it is vain or pompous. I have seen snippets of video running discreetly during cocktail hours and Ithink it can be lovely. But if it loud and in your face then I'd say no.

Since she is the oldest, she is just playing her role. I am sure this is how it's always been. So she is just being herself as usual.

No way! I'm doing something very similar at mine! Everyone I tell thinks that it is a great idea.
I went to a wedding where I was a guest of someone and didn't really know the bride or groom well. The slideshow brought me to tears!
