Is this possible???

Is this possible???

FH and I both have frequent flyer miles, but on different airlines. I have about 27,000 on American (which gets me a free RT ticket) and he has 51,000 on Delta (which only puts him close to a RT ticket).

So I was playing around on the website, and wanted to see how much it would cost us for our HM flights if I used my miles and we tried him using his miles. Delta wouldn't even let him use his miles even if he paid the difference.

I logged on to American, and even though I only have 27,000 miles and it takes 30,000 for a trip to the Carribean, it still granted me the miles, and pay a difference of $52. I plugged in for FH and I using my miles, and it said $105!!! Is this possible??? Normally full fare for both of us would be about $1200!!! Is this possibly a glitch in the system or maybe some kind of deal for using miles???

I think it could be possible depending on which fares American is using to give you a price. Have you tried calling American to see if it's correct?
