I sent out my save the dates this weekend. I included an insert with the hotel block information and hotel rates.
One of my friends got the save the dates, and said she liked them, with the exception of the hotel prices on the inserts! Is this tacky? I thought the prices should be included because these are hotel blocks and people would want to know how much each hotel was....
What do you think?

I don't think it's tacky at all. I'm actually bummed that mine dont say the price... they just say 'special rate' and I know when my OOTers call and find out that the 'special rate' is still $150 they're gonna be floored... rooms don't cost that much where I come from

I dont think its tacky, i think it's important information. We included it and I've always seen it included. Maybe we are tacky

tell your friend she's obviously not well versed in the ways of weddings.
its absolutely normal to include the hotel price in the wedding insert---that way if you are getting a discount--your guests know to make sure they are getting the correct price! also - it lets them know ahead of time what to expect price wise.

No way is it tacky!!!!!! I have seen EVERYONE do it this way!!!! Now if on your invites you put something like monetary gifts only.......THATS tacky

How would your guests know the price of the hotel if you didn't include it on the insert?

I dont think its tacky. Although I probably wouldn't include the price. Those who are interested should call the hotel directly and find out.

Def not tacky, unless your friend is super rich and doesn't care what the prices of the hotel costs are. I know I would appreciate the in advance noticed if I received that!

our hotel gave us pre-printed inserts that had the price on them. don't worry about it!

We did it this way and I wouldnt have it any other way! I think people deserve to know how much before they get there! We also sent a link out with the info!

I dont think so. I think its a great idea since usually blocked rooms are cheaper. Who cares its your wedding and you do it your way!
