FI and I ordered custom goblets for our groomsmen and our toasting goblets from England.

UPS just delivered them BUT i couldnt get my package because I have to pay 31 dollars COD on tarrifs.

Apparently because my package is being shipped international it was opened and inspected and I have to pay tarifs on it.

I had no idea so i had no money order or anything for this guy. He is coming back tomorrow.

I never heard of such a thing. I guess i never ship international so i had no idea about tarrifs and the guy we ordered this from didnt tell us abot this. But I wish I would have known I would of had the money order.

Why oh why did FI have to go today to work. Its normally his day off, but he wanted to do OT.

I have no clue Melissa...I've never ordered anything overseas, but did you pay for shipping? How much? I would think that it would be included. Also, if you bought them online I would check to see if there's anything written on the company's website regarding tariffs. Maybe you can email them to make sure this is common practice. If it is, they should've informed you!!!

we actually called england and spoke to the guy and did the order that way.

But I just searched its website and found this

'The price of Goods includes all packaging, insurance and administrative charges but does not include delivery charges which are in addition to the price and will be charged on the basis calculated on the purchase screen according to the weight of items sold and their destination'

I wish the guy would have told us.
