Is This Right...?

Is This Right...?

Please ladies...need some honesty. Is this right...??

Are firends are getting married shortly after us and we just recieved an invite to her bridal shower. We checked out her registry, and there isn't ONE thing that is UNDER $100!! I mean, shouldn't there be more then just a $200 cake server, and $110 spoon!??!? Or, am I just being cheap? LOL

You're not being cheap. I would feel the same way. $200 cake server.......that's outrageous. My cake server cost less than 100 bucks. Jesus! LOL

I think that is insane! I made sure to put a bunch of stuff under 100 on my registry. Not everyone can afford to spend over 100 bucks!!

Everything is TOO much... I mean, usually girls put items they NEED, or ones that you can get a cheaper model or something... I mean, Kitchen Aid is just as well as whatever brand name they requested...sooo annoying... LOL.

That's not right, or fair. Is that the only registry they have? I can see if it's a 'high end' store to have those kind of prices, but also have a more budget friendly registry at a different store. You're not mistaken in thinking that's a bit off.

can you chip in with someone?

I was just thinking, maybe she had cheaper stuff but it all went. For my e-party I registered for a bunch of serving dishes, excited because they were less expensive items for my friends. My parents friends bought 8 of the less expensive items, they wanted it to look like a lot of stuff. I would have rather them bought me a pot if they were going to spend $500 on me, they wiped out half the cheaper stuff on my registry in one swoop.

No...she's only registered at Fortunoffs, and she didn't even get good deals there. Don't get me wrong, I put some pricey things on mine as well...but this was just crazy! LOL. And, I can see everything that was already purchased. Soo...I even asked her MOH if she was registered anywhere else... NOPE lol.
No biggie...guess she'll get a $150 fork from me and have to deal b/c she's not getting the whole set! LMAO!!!!

you're so funny, Dani.

That's ridiculous prices for the things she registered. Does she think she's Donald Trump daughter? LOL

I think people can register for whatever they want at whatever price point they want. They just shouldn't expect people to get all of the things on their registry or be disappointed if they don't get what they want. But the point of a registry is to register for the things u like.

to be respectful of their guests, they should have chosen gifts in a variety of price ranges. my FSIL did this w/ her registry too. it stinks.

Re: Is This Right...?

No, a registry should have a certain amount of things in the $50 and under range. You're not being cheap!

wow i think thats a little rediculous as well. Maybe you can chip in with someone and get her something or dont get her anything on her list. Maybe you can pick something up off of her list so she can be surprised . maybe somthing personalized?

Re: Is This Right...?

You're not being cheap..we had some expensive things on our registry but ALOT of stuff $50 and under... (she didn't register for any kitchen utensils? bathroom stuff?) --- is there someone you could split a gift with?? I think that's what some people did for ours because most of the really expensive stuffon my registry is gone

Re: Is This Right...?

that really really is rediculous in my opinion...i have things on my registry that are like $5 to $500 - i put a nice range of things on there so that people had things to choose from...i have a lot of things in the $50 range some things below that and some things above that...
