I'm figuring out how exactly to word my accommodation insert for my invites, and I did a dry run on my wedding website. Stole most of the format from MLAngelo (thanks again!!!), but added my own touches here and there.
So we're going to have a pretty big gap between ceremony and CH, a good 3-3 1/2 hours, so I really want everyone to go to the hotel and hang out in the bar there, rather than come to the RH and watch us take pics and just generally be underfoot. Is this a tactful way of wording everything?

The only things is if you say 'We invite' does that imply that you are paying the bar tab?

Re: Is this rude?
I think the first this you said is good. Does your hotel have a shuttle? If it does you won't have to worry becasue people will go back to the hotel to catch the shuttle. Hmmmm...this is an extra expense but maybe call the hotel about setting up a hospitality room where you could have some beer/wine/soda and some light snacks. It might be cheaper then a bar tab and depending on how many rooms you have booked the hotel might throw this in??

Re: Is this rude?
Just thought of this in the shower, where most of my great thoughts occur.
We are pleased to announce that the hotel bar and restaurant will be open during the hours between the ceremony and start of cocktail hour for all of our guests.
Is this the best one yet?
I never thought invitations would be causing me this much grief

Awww I like this one best b/c it is VERY straightforward and doesn't imply you & FH paying.
