I'm figuring out how exactly to word my accommodation insert for my invites, and I did a dry run on my wedding website. Stole most of the format from MLAngelo (thanks again!!!), but added my own touches here and there.
So we're going to have a pretty big gap between ceremony and CH, a good 3-3 1/2 hours, so I really want everyone to go to the hotel and hang out in the bar there, rather than come to the RH and watch us take pics and just generally be underfoot. Is this a tactful way of wording everything?

Re: Is this rude?
Would you clutter this behemoth insert even further by saying what time check in and check out is, or leave that for them to find out when they call?

Re: Is this rude?
Is the hotel directly on the way from the Ceremony to the RH?? I only ask b/c if its out of the way you may still have people who go straight to the RH.

No let them call. Some people may want a late check in or late check out, so its best to let them speak with the hotel directly.

I wouldn't add the times.. I am sure when they call to make reservations the hotel will let them know all that info anyways!

It is and it isn't if that makes any sense....church is in Greenlawn, so very north Huntington-ish area, then you have to go south and east to RH...hotel is still west of RH, but I think more south? so like a weird zig zag pattern.
I don't know, I anticipate 60 people in the lobby waving at me as we attempt to take pics. I can just imagine what my face is going to look like in them

This is what I put (changing the specific info for you):

After DATE, unreserved rooms will be released for outside reservations.

I think the wording is pretty subtle maybe when you talk to people bring it up somehow that you & your FH have set it up for them to go to the hotel bar to mingle and have fun. I just think some people might not 'get it' ..... Do you know what I mean? Like I know my FMIL when we went to FH's cousin's wedding was there taking pics with the photographer and she looked like a weirdo....FH & I were at the hotel getting ready but other people told us I was like .

Re: Is this rude?
Your welcome Ali, but I can't take credit, mom wrote it. I like using invite. Also I suggest putting it on the OOT bags. We are not putting it on the invites because FMIL is inviting the OOT guests to something at the hotel while my parents are inviting family to our house in between. So we are putting a note like yours attached to the front of our OOT bags so that they see it right away, in case they check in after the church and want to join in.

Re: Is this rude?
The only things is if you say 'We invite' does that imply that you are paying the bar tab?
