We invited some people to the wedding that I never met- fmil's great uncle or something. They sent the response to may parents no, and sent a card to fmil's house with a check in it. (which was very nice).

yes they should have. especially if your name was on the invitation....so it's not like they didn't know it. i get highly offended at this!!! although there's really nothing you can do about it. maybe just send a thank you to one of them!

Yes, they should have put your name on it as well, but if they're older, perhaps they threw away the invitation and forgot your name?
