to be excited that I got a crockpot from one of the ladies at work for an engagement gift? I am excited and want to cook now. I dont live with FH so I dont cook much now,lol but, I am preparing.

i used to use FH's crock pot all the time before we lived together (i bought it for him) but now that we live together we havent used it once!
FH likes to make cocktail weenies in it but we used to make fancy things like cucumber salmon risotto, 3 cheese risotto, beef stew etc... now it just sits there and looks pretty
use it! they are great!!!

my mom bought me and the toothless ghetto wonder one for our engagement... she let me keep all of the gifts she got us, so now i make brisket and kasha varnishkes in it... freakin delicious.

I think thats a nice gift.. I dont have a crock pot but, I want to get one
i made rice puddung in mine it came out great even though it took a lil while but you just throw everything in and dont have to worry about anything except i had to stir it two different times! also ribs are really good they come so tender in the crock pot!

Not strange at all! I want one! Question: Do all of you ladies with crockpots turn them on and leave them when you're not home? That would make me nervous. I know thats what you're supposed to do, but I get nervous about stuff being on when I'm not home!
