Is this strange or is it just me?

I got thank you cards from my cousins wedding this past October. The thing is that she literally just wrote Love, and their names. Not even our names at the top?

I was planning on writing messages in my cards - I kind of thought I was supposed too?

What kind of thank you was it? Was it like a picture thank you with a pre-printed message on it and they just signed underneath?

I'm with you though - I plan on writing my own message in the thanks yous.

It's less personal that way so if they were just trying to get them done but I would take the time to sit and write!

To be perfectly honest, I would be offended if I got a thank you like that.

You have had 5 months to write out thank you's and you cant even address them properly, let alone right a nice message inside???

IT was a picture of them and it was preprinted 'Thank you for you Thoughfulness' and she wrote their names. I mean she couldn't at least write 'dear Meghan and Christian?'

Whatever, I guess she was just trying to finish. It just struck me as a little wierd.

there is no excuse for this. it is a shame and a complete lack of proper ettiquette. the least she could have done is write your names at the top

Still, a little extra personal message would have been nice to add.

i def plan to write out a card to each guest. yes it takes longer and i am sure i will get lazy but its personal and imo its the right thing to do

I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of thank you cards. I just read them and throw them out. Is that wrong? lol

me too!!!! it was labor day weekend and still nothing!! its kinda petty but it really annoys me considering we flew out to they're wedding, paid for a hotel and rental car and still gave a generous gift

I am definitely writing them a personalized note- and I hope FH does the same for his guests!

For those that give HM registry gifts, I will also include a photo of us enjoying their gift!

I'm writing on most of my thank yous but some people aren't even getting my signed names, but those are the people that are caused harm to me or DH in the past 6 months. The wedding might have been Labor Day weekend for us and I'm only half way through my cards but I HATED my pictures and it was hard to go through them and find a thank you (no seriously there were only 5 pictures of me and DH looking at the camera) and then it took awhile to get them back. I also have had a lot going on personally that thank yous were the last thing from my mind.

It's a GREAT idea to get your thank you cards out right away and to write on EVERY SINGLE one but I'm writing 175 cards and not everyone deserves me taking the time to write something when I'm not glad they came to the wedding and wish they would have kept their gift...
