On my RSVP cards, I am planning to have a line that says:
____ seats are reserved in your honor
and just write the number in, as to how many people I am actually inviting. It's just that I don't want to have to deal with 'uninvited guests'. I have some cousins that I am inviting, but I am not inviting their kids.
Do you think having this in my RSVP is tacky?

Re: Is this tacky (Invitation related)
Thanks for the input... but should I then have a line that indicates of the #of people invited.. how many are attending?
Such as : ___ of ____ guests attending. Lol this is getting complicated. I just wish people understood what John Doe and Guest meant, so I didn't have to do this.

Re: Is this tacky (Invitation related)
Mine says __ seats reserved in your honor. M____________________ __will attend ___will not attend I thought people would put the number but they just put a check. We ended up giving almost everyone a guest (we just didn't to people we knew wouldn't) so it wound up not being important for the single people, we just don't want families bringing their kids!

Re: Is this tacky (Invitation related)
id say its not bad, but you dont have to do that in order for people to not bring their kids, you could always call them if they put 6 instead of two, 'oh, im sorry we tried but we barely had enough room for all the adults so we had to limit children and guests'
Im @ th epoint where i couldnt care less about offending ppl lol

Yeah I am afraid they will only put a check...and not the number of people, then I will have to call people. If I have to go around calling, there might as well not be an RSVP! lol.

You can do something like:
The courtesy of your response is requested prior to the XXth of Month. ____ seats are reserved in your honor
M____________________ ___ accepts with pleasure ___ declines with regrets ____ number attending
OOOOOO I like this a lot!!!!!!! Thanks!
