On my RSVP cards, I am planning to have a line that says:
____ seats are reserved in your honor
and just write the number in, as to how many people I am actually inviting. It's just that I don't want to have to deal with 'uninvited guests'. I have some cousins that I am inviting, but I am not inviting their kids.
Do you think having this in my RSVP is tacky?

My response cards are done the same way. Tacky or not I am not dealing with the I am bringing 5 people with me..

Were doing this. Honestly, I don't Think it's tacky it all. I think it's tack to bring an extra guest if he/she was not invited! We are having a line that also says ____ # of guests attending.

I don't like it, but it wouldn't bother me
I accomplished this the more formal way by including addressed inner envelopes which dictated exactly who is invited

M____________________ ___ accepts with pleasure ___ declines with regrets ____ number attending

I did this, and it worked out great. Anyone who wasn't bringing someone that I gave them a seat for just wrote on the card saying they were coming alone.
