Any time I have seen or heard of the meal being on the RSVP card, there has been an actual description of said meal, whether it said 'beef, chicken, vegetarian' or 'filet mignon, chicken parmigiana, penne alla vodka.' The pictures ... I don't know if it's tacky, but I feel like it is definitely weird.

Oh, the card is also numbered on the bottom right corner in pencil... we got RSVP #69. HAHAHAHA

Hmm animal pics are a bit weird and she should have numbered it on the back! It's funny because I didn't think people did that anymore, meaning ordered your dinner choice before the wedding.

I'm assuming that this wedding is in NC, so that would explain the ordering the meal prior part, I know that's the norm out of state...I don't think it's tacky per se to do the cow and the chicken haha, I find it kinda funny, but then again I have Twilight themed programs, so I shouldn't talk about tacky haha.

i think its weird that there are pictures. not that you have to choose.. even though that isn't the norm i think.

there is DEF a better way to present the option than a little weird clip art of a cow.

This is usually done for weddings outside of NY. So I'm guessing this is an out of state wedding?
I know there are a few (very few) places here that do that..... it keeps the catering cost down for the RH.

tacky... im not sure.... weird MOST DEF!!! theres a first for everything though huh?!?! at first i tried thinking of a reason... and came up with maybe she needed symbols used worldwide bc she has people coming from other countries or whatnot... but then wouldnt the rest of the rsvp have to be in hieroglyphics as well

I always hear of places doing the pre food order... but I've never gotten an invitation with one.

Definitely tacky. Not the asking in advance what you want to eat part (that's common outside of NY) but the little pictures strike me as tacky.

They'd be adorable for a Sweet 16 or something, but I think a wedding should be a little more formal.

What is a welcome dinner?

Honestly... how would you know what you want to eat nov 7th? Especially if it doens't say the type of chicken or beef??? I never get the ordering the entree with the invitation thing.... I get why RH's do it... but I just don't think it makes much sense from a guests perspective.

When I showed it to FH he was so determined to do the same thing. but just for fun. he wanted to put a pic of cow, chicken and MONKEY...

just to see how guest would react and who would select monkey
i really had to fight him on that

I also hate having to pick what I'm gonna eat in 2 months...and it does help the catering hall with food costs but really not a fan of it!!!!
