Is this toooo much?

We are doing mini cheesecakes as our edible favors. Now today my FH runs into a guy that he has known for a while and he can do a jar of truffles, in whatever combo (flavors) we want and have the trim on the truffles match my dress exactly.. (well who knows.. its what he says).. now im thinking.. do we put one per place setting in front of the plate? do it we use it at a place card setting and just have the place cards attached to it with a ribbon? That was we can have it for per couple and it is understood that way... I am thinking that is a good idea.. but should the truffles be in the ballroom that whole time unrefridgerated? Any help ...TIA girls
