Two people told me that 24 hours after obtaining your marriage license, you are actually legally married, even though you didn't have the ceremony yet??

I don't think so because the legal marriage certificate is only mailed to you after your officiant signs off on it!

Although you do sign it, the priest or whomever, has to officiate & sign it too.
