I invited all of my co-workers with a guest. One coworker responded yes, so I asked her today if she'd prefer I write 'Miss Mima Cat & Guest' on the place card or if she would like me to write out the name of her guest. Turns out, her guest is another girl we work with who I did not invite to the wedding! Its not that I dont like the girl, its just t hat I dont really know her very well and don't talk to her much. I'm not going to say anything, b/c I did invite her with guest... but I meant a male date, not a random other uninvited coworker. Am I crazy?

no one did this to me, but a guest is a guest
if you are allowing someone to choose who they bring, then they are going to do just that

i dont think its rude; weird maybe and i wouldnt do it, but not rude

Just wierd but not rude. I agree guest is a guest cant always assume a guy is going to bring a girl and a girl is going to bring a guy. Atleast its not a coworker you cant stand. Then thats a whole other situation.

well i brought my gf to my my friends wedding bc she couldn't invite any other people and wanted her there too- worked out too @ the time bc me and fh took time off. :)

but i have guests bringing chicks as dates which is totally kewl-

but wat your co worker did was sneaky-uncool but what can u say? she is entitled a guest...did they ever ask y u didn't invite her?

Hey I just wanted you to know, since maybe this will ease your mind a bit, my best friend since 3rd grade was invited to my Mom's recent second marriage wedding (November of 07). My best friend in all the world brought a close female friend of hers, whom I know and like. However, my Mom invited her with a guest because she thought my best friend, would want to bring a date, not a buddy!

My Mom and I both thought it was rude but didn't really say anything! That is why for my wedding we decided to only invite someone with a guest if they are in a serious relationship. I totally sympathize with you...some people just don't get it

I honestly have to agree...weird but a guest is a guest.
