We were quoted $475 (no tax, no delivery fee if we pay cash) for the setup below (four quarter-circle 'sofas' and the little square table in the middle ... we can obviously set it up any way we want) ... note that the wedding is during the day and outside so the lighting won't really show.
is that a good price for it? It seems like soooo much money to spend on an hour of use!
Is cocktail hour outside or inside? What are you options once you sign the contract if it rains?
What company did you get the quote for?

For me personally, not worth it. But if you really want and can afford, I guess go for it.

CH is outside ... and these are from NY Lounge Decor.
I don't necessarily think it's worth it either ... but if all you smarter-than-me LIW girls say that $475 is a WONDERFUL price, then that might help convince me lol

Re: is this worth it?
Do you really need it for the CH? I think most people at the CH are standing and chatting or getting food. I think it's more for an after party. . .JMO
BUT If you want it go for it!!!!!!

Re: is this worth it?
well we're getting married at WCC ... the reason we fell in love with that RH is the pictures they have of the outside area (where CH is) with the sofas and whatnot ... FH and i LOVE the relaxing lounge feel.
But we don't love the price tag.
I guess it's not a good price (or at least, not worth it) since nobody's given it a thumbs up yet

Where is cocktail hour if it rains? Is it downstairs in that room right by the front door and stairs? If so, unless they did some MAJOR construction, there's no room for the sofa's inside. Are you still required to pay to fulfill your contract if that's the case?

imo it's too expensive and not worth it. you could do so much more with that money that would be more beneficial in the end!

i personally feel that would be a waste of money. i guess it will be nice for the few people who get to sit on the sofas but other then that, it may look like those four where left over from another party.

I think that the furniture is realy nice but I think it's too much for 1 hr. If it were for the entire wedding, i would say go for it but just for th CH I wouldnt spend that much.

I would skip it. You can probably find something better to do with the $$$!

I was thinking about this too, to use it for the whole reception too. But then I realized 1. it would cost more and 2. It would be nearly impossible to move that same furnature from cocktail hour upstairs while the party is going on. There's no elevator, just a stupid small staircase that's by the DJ where vendors load and unload.

its great but its a very limited amount of seating and I think it doesnt make sense to spend that if only like 8 ppl can fit on it

Imo its not rly worth it for only an hour. You can totally use that money towards something else for the wedding

I;m voting no too. It is cool but that's a lot of $ IMO. Plus. how many people are really going to be able to sit there anyway?

Re: is this worth it?
maybe i can convince FH to use this 'saved' money towards a photobooth lol (he loved the one at the expo last night but didn't want to spend the money which i agree with)
