Is this wrong of me???

Is this wrong of me???

My bridal party consists of FH's sister, FH's sister-in-law, my best friend since 6th grade (who lives in VA), my friend from college (who live in MI) and my good friend from work.

FH's sister lives in Lindenhurst and FH's sister-in-law lives about 10 min from me, but I rarely see (or speak to) either of them.

I don't call them on a regular basis, but want to keep them informed as wedding events come up (rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, dresses arriving, fittings, etc). Is it wrong of me to send a 'Bridesmaid Newsletter' as opposed to calling them?

It's not that I don't like them or get along with them, but I just don't want to call them (I have reasons...long story).

ditto - email is the best way to reach everyone at once - and at least they'll have all the info they need written out so they can't forget it.

Thanks!! I would love to email them, but 2 don't have email at all, and 1 only has email at work. Think I will work on a Bridesmaid Newsletter to snail-mail.

Has anyone does this?

My BP has 2 OOT girls as well. All important communication has been done via email, with the occasional phone call to follow up on little details. Heck, my OOT girls have bene trying on dresses and emailing me back pics of them in the dresses so I can see how they look.

i think its a great idea. Everyone knows whats going on and what they need to know and you only have to write it once. go for it. i would appreciate it being a bm.

I did. I kinda have the same situation. And also this way I don't feel like I am constantly talking about wedding stuff when I do talk to them.

I sort of do. I talk to two of the three adults regularly. The third one is actually FH's best friend. Even though I basically TELL my friends everything on the phone, I email any necessary information to them to reiterate what I told them and to inform the third one. As far as my neices who are also BM's, I simply call my brother and tell him what he needs to know.

It's fine. I did a lot by e-mail and for the final info, such as what time to meet for the wedding, we are sending out a letter. I've made a joke of it, telling everyone to expect an 'instruction sheet' in the mail. They all seem glad that they will have something written to refer to. Some of our BP will be travelling to get here and they have a lot of info to keep track of just for themselves!

All 7 of my BM are OOT. If I called them each time something needed to be shared, I'd get nothing done. Mail and email rock!

I sent out a newsletter a few months ago and it worked well. They have each others email address now, as well as all of the important dates and times.

I was in one of my best friends weddings last summer, and she/MOH did everything by email. It was just easier for all. And now, as a bride myself, I feel that email is a lot easier and less annoying than a bunch of phone calls and messages! So keep doing what you're doing, but let them know they need to check their emails more! PS, they should feel honored that you chose them even though they aren't longtime friends or fam. members to you so it shouldn't matter!

i truly believe this is why email was invented. i see nothing wrong with 'friendly reminders.' just keep them short and to the point.
