Is your FH as excited as you??

Hey girls, I'm feeling frustrated with my FH. We have a lot on our plate financially right now between the wedding and buying a house, but I feel like I'm the only one who's generating any excitement over the wedding. He's too stressed about how we're paying for everything to be excited and it's putting a damper on it. Anyone else in the same situation?? Hope I'm not alone!

it gets better the closer u get to it, dont worry he'll join in the excitement, u have to wait a while!

Actually i am the stressed one 2... FH is very relaxed about it ~ like one day we are going to go outside and find a money tree!

I know how you feel. Just know he is excited, even if he doesn't show it. he might not be excited about the party, but deep inside, all that matters is that he is excited to spend the rest of his life with you!! My FH is a giant A$$ when it comes to this wedding thing but I know he loves me and he knows that by letting me plan it the way I want, it'll rock!

Absolutely! FH is not showing 1 wink of excitement!!!! lol I guess that's just how some guys are...what can you do!

thanks ladies! I'm trying to light a fire of excitement under his butt, but it's not working! I'm stressed about money too, but not to the point that it takes away from my excitement about the wedding! Maybe it's more exciting for me at this point cause I have a dress, veil, shoes, etc. already purchased to dream about wearing that day and FH has NADA!
He'll come around... once the wears off....

My FH isn't excited either, he just keeps saying he can;t wait for it to be over

He came the florist with me and he just sat there like a bump on the log! It is frustrating but what can you do...maybe he is letting you do your thing because he knows it is your day and doesn't want to suggest anything that you might not like?

My FH has always been excited about getting married. One thing that he said he'll never get excited about is all the small details. He said all that matters to him is the two of us in front of our family and friends ....... saying our vows. That's all that is important to him...........not the flowers, not the invites, not the favours.......just the actual ceremony...........

BUT, I do see that since it's 3.5 months now, he's gettting a bit more interested in SOME things. Not A LOT, but some. He talks more about our wedding and says how he can't wait for it........

I think since we are excited from birth .. its a builiding anticipation and process for the fh .. it seems like mine has increades w/ time but i have felt your same pain . it will get better

we actually dont have any stress over buying a house, just concentrating on the wedding and work and each other. So i know he happy inside, he just want all the drama of the wedding to over and done.

when the big day draws closer...i bet he'll get more excited.

i felt the same way, when i was several months away. i'd get super excited and he didn't seem to care much! but that's just the way guys are. we sometimes forget that, while they DO want to marry us, the wedding isn't exactly something they jump up and down about all the time!!!

My FH is excited too but he is sick of hearing about certain things from me. Example: invitations!! I've shown him about 50 and he still likes the same one!

I have to be one of THE luckiest girls in the world. Darren is into everything, and he indeed is just as excited as I am. I couldn't ask for more. All of the planning we have done together, and as a matter of fact, he chose the card box, and ordered it. Thats rare for some men to do.

He is stressed over the money too but he is excited. He keeps saying less then 16 weeks baby

I know mine is excited and that he enjoys all the little details because he was completely 'gung-ho' at first, but now that we have so much financial responsibilty it's taken the excitement out of it because he's more focused on how we're paying for everything. I'm sure that once we're closer to the big day and most of the $ has been forked over he'll be much less stressed and bursting with excitement. It surfaces sometimes, but for the most part he's been stressing out which makes me stress out!

BUT we adore each other and can't wait to be married and that's all that matters!

Nope doesn't seem to be either. Is stressed from work right now since very busy. But even before that he would ask me to stop talking about it!

Nope. You are not alone. my Fh is not as excitied about the wedding as I am... He is more excitied about after the wedding..yknow finally living together, being together, cooking together...everything that comes with being married. But as far as the actually wedding is concerned...hes def. not super excitied like I am..so you are not alone

FH is just stressed about how it is all going to get paid for. he is starting to get a little more excited the closer it gets. he is the one pushing me to get things done.. .not that he is going to participate in the DIY project but he helps design and gives his opinion.. he just likes cracking the whip. LOL. i love him so much though.
