totally worth it...

it protects you for many things you have no control over.. such as lost luggage... stolen property during the honeymoon... natural disasters or even floods or fires in the hotel !!

Totally worth it! Get regular travel insurance it costs about $100 per person.

It payed off for me a few years ago-I was trying to get to Europe the day of the 'black out' I think it was 2003? I was flying to Barcelona for a 2 week cruise from JFK and it was a nightmare-the airport couldn't get any planes off the ground because they couldn't check the luggage. I ended up missing the 1st day of the cruise. I got myself to France and caught the ship on the 2nd day. I got reinbursed for everthing! Food, airfare, hotel, and a pro-rated amount for 1 day of the cruise. I could have just said forget about it and they would have given me all the money back for the whole trip but I really wanted to go.

We insured ours for sure We are going to Italy and Greece in September...not that we anticipate any weather issues aside from when we depart NY but FH has a very sick grandma, and god forbid something happens, we would have to cancel. Aside from that and any other health or family health problems, we ARE GOING.

We also insured our honeymoon not only does it cover your honeymoon if you have a death, illness, or weather related situtaion it also cover if you are on honeymoon for a few days and something happens while away such as death or illness, and you chosse to leave they will prorate the trip. It is such a small fee in the long run why not.
