Is your MOH....

giving a speech? Mine is not fond of speaking in front of crowds. Who else does a speech? The best man and the father of the bride?

you can have whomever you'd like give a speech.
At our wedding, DH's dad, DH's brother (best man) and my sister MOH all spoke. Then DH's friend who was not asked to give a speech did anyway. I was kind of annoyed with that, because he spoke for sooooo long!

If she really doesn't feel comfortable with it, it's not necessary. I went to a wedding last month where the MOH (bride's sister) literally said three sentences... short and sweet! At my wedding, there were speeches by my MOH, DH's two best men (dad and brother), and my dad (which was a pleasant surprise).

We'll have his best man give a speech, and I was just thinking it would be nice to have someone from my side say something as well. My dad has a bad stutter, should I ask him? I'd like him to, but I don't want to make him feel bad....

My MOH is giving a speech... I told her she doesn't have to, but she wants to... it should be good though, she's usually good with stuff like that.

Mine gave a speech. She was a nervous wreck too, which was odd b/c NOTHING phases her ever I was watching her champagne glass the entire time b/c she had it tilted and she was shaking so much I was afraid it was going to spill all over her dress! She did awesome though!

i told everyone that whoever wanted to give a speech , could...
but im glad a lot of ppl didnt cuz that takes time away n lik all the brides know, time goes fast....
my maid of honor n my Dh two best men were the only ones to give a speech

It is all up to you. I do not have a MOH.. I have 2 men of honor. Fh's big brother is his best man so he'll give a speech and then my brothers together will do one.

We went to a wedding recently where the brides parents spoke, then the MOH and then the BM.
