Is/Has any of your FH/DH done any wedding planning things one their own? Like tuxes, music?

This was my original response: 'oh hell no!'...
But that's because: a) DH is lazy b) DH relies on me to do all the 'important things' c) I am way too OCD and anal/controlling to have let DH do anything 'guys do' (HM, tuxes, DJ, music, RD, etc.)
I did it all...it drove me nuts, yes...but that's the only way I was able to ensure that it would actually get done.

Yes - FH took charge of limos... made all the calls and did all the research (except what I passed on from LIW of course) and sent the contract. He's doing the lion's share of work on the HM too!
While I've done most of the research on everything else -- he 's been awesome about place, officiant, photo/video, and music. He went to all appts and definitely wanted to be happy with all that stuff too. I'm lucky!

He did all the honeymoon research. We wanted a European cruise. He got online and researched all the cruise lines, the departure dates compared to the wedding date, and the itineraries. Then he ran it by me. We picked one, and went to travel agent together to reserve it.
Other than that, hall, DJ, photography, we did together. Flowers I'm doing sort of alone (we agreed on low centerpieces), but I am seeing the florists without him. We went to the jeweler together for wedding bands, but we each picked out the one we wanted/liked.
I did suggest to him that if he doesn't want to have an evening ceremony after all, and doesn't want to have it at friend's house on the water he could do search himself, and then I would go look after he narrowed it down, as we did with catering halls, but he decided that friend's house is great option after all. (which means arranging to get valet or some other arrangements for parking is up to me)

He went for his tux without me. He bought his and got something classic so I trusted him - that and the fact he was joined by his mom.

Mine did the limos and the tent & chair rental on his own as well as the HM.

FH is in charge of the limos and the HM. So far he's done a lot of reasearch for the HM but he's dragging his feet a little on making the final decision. I might have to step in and finish. It's not time for the limos so I'm not sure how he's going to handle that yet.

I am really glad I asked this, because #1 I am really amused at some of the answers and #2 I am glad I didn't sabotage our day by letting him be in charge of something.
But really, mostly #1!

Lucky! I asked fh to JUST research limos and everytime I ask him for an update, he tells me he's 'still working on it'!
