we're getting ready to book our honeymoon, and from your post about the save the date cards, you mentioned to avoid sandals but not the reason why...

Me too and I know Shauna too, we're both already booked. I fm-ed her yesterday but haven't heard back. Hopefully she fills us in

Sandals Antigua, I spoke to about 5 different representatives on the chat and they all questioned me and concluded that Antigua was the right place for us. Every one is so nice though. We had originally been looking into Antigua bc my aunt recommended it, her and my uncle are huge Sandals lovers. So anyway the representatives notion just confirmed our choice. St. Lucia is great though bc you're able to go to all the other Sandals there too. I know some other girls are going to Negril and Jamaica on here from what I've seen. Anyway, back to what we booked, bc of the amazing deal right now we were able to book the top room, no need to upgrade, living room bedroom private pool and jacuzzi outside, it's the Luxury Ocean Villa something like that. Regularly $20,700, we got it for $8,200 amazing!

ETA: We booked 8 days 7 nights (can't think on a conference call lol), wedding on Friday, leave Sunday, the 3rd.

Where are you looking into?

i wouldnt worry to much about it ladies....she may not be a fan of sandals for whatever reason...but there have been a ton of people who gave it great reviews! don't stress

Thanks for the encouragement . I'm more just curious about the statement and then no explanation lol. I'm sure there are bad reviews for everything here and there. I think it all depends on the person and we're psyched!!!

Definitely check out TripAdvisor.com for reviews on the property if you are nervous. I have found that website to be so helpful in planning past vacations!

Heyy.... Sandals goer's I'm booked to. I am staying at the Regency in St. Lucia... 7 nights as well. FH is a big golfer so the golf course was our main seller there. I stopped at St.Lucia on a cruise many moons ago, and it was the only island I have been dying to go back to. YAY....

I was curious about the comment too..... although am confident in Sandals.

Also when looking at TripAdvisor and all those other websites becarful. People will always comment on a bad experience but many times people who have a great time don't always take the time to post it. I learned that from a travel agent. You will hear the BEST and the Worst but not always the people that went had a good time, got what they were asking for and had a nice vacation.

I know I'm so excited ahhhhhh lolol, what made us officially book it was I finally remembered that in the past when we looked on the site that was a room we wouldn't even check out bc we knew we couldn't afford it and now we booked it, we're thrilled. It doesn't include airfare, I checked for flights in October 2009 and they're around $400 round trip per person, so it shouldn't be too bad.
