I was at the Islip movie theatre late last night. FI said he wanted popcorn halfway through the movie, so I went to the lobby to get it. WELL! I turned to my left and there were two teenaged boys lying on the ground bleeding, with a crowd around them. One of the boys was conscious, I don't think the other one was. The unconscious one had blood coming out of his mouth (like the creepy way you see it in movies right before someone dies). I lost my nerve and just ran back into the theatre. When the movie was over, we were ushered out by the emergency exit, and there were lots of cops there. But I'm dying to know what happened. Has anyone heard anything about this? I've been watching Channel 12 news all day, and nothing.

That is scary to see. I hope they are ok and they find who did this to them

I was just guessing that the two boys were in a fight with each other and one of them hit the other over the head with something heavy... FI was saying it could have been a drug overdose... mom suggested they might have been in a car accident and someone dragged them into the theatre to get them off the street... I just have no idea, and wish I knew that they were OK!

i'll have to go against the car accident with your mom. if they were in an accident someone would have heard the crash, if they were lying on the street why would someone want to move them (its an accident scene and if they were hurt that would be a dumb thing to do, to move them)
Drug overdose I could see, but bleeding from the mouth????
I'll go with the fight thing.
Check your local paper, they may have a police blotter and it may say of anything since the police were involved.

I know. I thought the car accident idea was far-fetched, and I don't know enough about drug overdoses to know if anyone would bleed from the mouth! In the beginning of the movie, a group of teenaged boys went running out of the theatre, so I guess they were friends of the two boys in the lobby. Will be checking Newsday tomorrow to see if there's anything about it. If any of you find out about it, please post about it! I had that image of that boy who was unconscious in my head all last night.

Still haven't heard anything about it. On the one hand, that might be good news-- I think if someone had died, they would have reported it. What's NY1? I've been watching channel 12 news and asking my parents to read Newsday for me.
