FH did get brownie points on Friday. Our invites got delivered and he said 'They look really good! Thank you for all your hard work in designing these'...

You're definitely not alone. We got engaged in December and since about February, FH has been telling everyone, 'oh yeah, pretty much everything for the wedding is done.' And I've been like, 'Are your freaking kidding me!!!!' I do have to give him a little credit - I had a melt down about 2 weeks ago and since then, he's been 'trying' to help and be a little more supportive

totally understand! ugh, men!!

i love when he says 'we're so ahead of the game, we're pretty much ready for the wedding!' ummm yaaa? have you checked my to do list?! lol

i love planning and all but sometimes it just takes up wayyyyy too much time, its practically all i ever think about

i hear everything your saying!

I have to say that my FH has been making phone calls, he planned the HM and has been doing what he can to help out. But really all those little things that I stress about are not important to him so he doesn't really care what they look like. From the flowers, to the cake topper, napkins, table numbers, place cards, programs, welcome bags, and centerpieces. He would have tried to do without it all. He would have not done any of it. That's why I feel like I have to do it all. He has helped where he can but his heart is just not into all of that.
The one thing that does drive me INSANE is that he will not do Thank You Cards!!! You are benefiting from the gifts too buddy. Write a damn thank you.

That is so true too I do appreciate that he's trying, but he doesn't see the same need for attention to detail that I do, so I wind up getting frustrated It's definitey good to hear that others are going through the same types of things and that its not just my FH

I pretty much do everything too....FH helps me with anything that I ask him to, but what is annoying is that I have to give him direction on everyyyyythingggggg lol. This isn't his fault, and this whole wedding has pretty much been my creation, but it would be nice for him to magically know what to do

I feel your pain sista......... my FH has the B*LLS to criticize my organization, cause when we were on our way to meet with the florist I left my idea 'folder' home. he said if you were more organized - I wouldn't leave things at home. I kinda went bananas and said HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO! I have 100 thousand things on my plate. get a clue buddy!

I do have to admit though, he has been with me to every meeting/appt we have had for the wedding so far and he is really involved. I know he will help me stuff invites and get them mailed. I just wish they did more of the planning part.

I feel the same way 100%. I love being in charge and I love that I am the one that knows every detail about my wedding, but its still frustrating!!! I really hope people enjoy my wedding as well cuz God knows an immense amount of effort, time, brain cells (and not to mention money!!) was put towards it.

At least it will all be worth it tho!! When we look back on our wedding pics we will know that we did everything OUR way and its a once in a lifetime experience

Yes! it is soo annoying. I do enjoy the planning, but it would be really nice if FH was more proactive, checking in with me.

defn feel the same way...in the process of making invite spreadsheet and I do need his help for this ....but instead of getting help we had a huge fight instead..he doesnt understand why i want the names printed on the mailing envelopes....he keeps saying we still have time!!! ahhhhh
