If you contacted a vendor and got pricing and they said they were available for your date just you had to reply via email with some further info. Then you do so and asked to meet and for a week get no reply (you also know they read the email) what would you do?
I am running out of time to do things and I am trying to get the last few things I haven't booked done and these people know my wedding date and i feel like they are not bothering with me. Grrrrrr
That and especially for Limo's (a different situation then above) we found out we can afford one limo just to pick us up and tried to find pricing from all limo companies and only one replied to us and that was camelot. NO ONE else bothered to return my calls/emails which i find VERY rude. I rather you tell me we can't work with you or we are booked then nothing.

Re: issues with vendors
I would call back the first vendor, not email and be persistant.... You never know- something could have happened to/with them (I always like to give the benefit of the doupt thought).
As for limos, I am using Camelot- Joe is fanstastic, will work with your budget and has a great reputation.
Good Luck!!

Re: issues with vendors
yea i think camelot is the one - we also won a $100 off at the WOTY so that helps even more. We were never going to do limo's but figure for a pick up service alone to help get everyone to the picture location and the hall.
The first vendor - your right I should just call this weekend if i get no email back. I really want to work with her just feel kinda like she should of contacted me by now but stuff happens. Thanks.

Re: issues with vendors
I can tell you in my experiences that most people do not callyou back ans it takes forvever to getg an email response from 'tried and true' vendors. Some of these people have business coming out of every orifice of their business and they will not pursue you, you must pursue them.
If you get a price quote be sure that you get that in an email or a fax to hold th price they offer you!!
I have had issues with vendors quoting me a great price, and then come time to sign the contract doubling up.

Re: issues with vendors
I had the SAME issue as the you did the a vendor. . . it was make-up actually (maybe the same person)
I got so annoyed at going back and forth with this person that I said screw it. She had made like 3 appointments with me via email and then cancelled them via email right after I emailed to confirm (and I emailed her within HOURS)saying 'someone who cancelled decided to come in' and blah blah. Then it would take her a week to respond to me with other dates she can do trials.
I booked a new make-up trial with someone else, I thought it was unprofessional the way she handled things.

Re: issues with vendors
I tried contacting a vendor via email and phone and never received a response. If they are unresponsive when trying to get your business, how responsive will they be once they already have your $? Keep looking around---there are so many vendors for each area---you'll eventually find 1 that u comfortable with.
