FH and I went to the bank to do some business stuff and while we were there we decided to open a personal account together. Since we are getting married in less than three months the woman told us to get checks with my married name on them so we wouldn't have to re-order. All of a sudden I was signing my name...my MARRIED name...totally unprepared for it....(haven't practiced my 'P's' enough...:) anyway...I got all emotional and started to tear up. Sounds corny, but it was really overwhelming and I wasn't mentally prepared....Can't wait to see my new name on those checks!!! Just thought I'd share.

Aww that is so sweet. I have been married for almost a month and already started the process of changing my last name. However, I still use my maiden name - my last name is so easy - he has a long polish last name.
