It is official....!!!

It is official....!!!

...we have a date AND a TEMPLE!!! Tonight, along with my mom, FH and I left a deposit at Temple Avodah in Oceanside. I am so excited! I always dreamed of a Temple wedding and reception.

I thank my family for being able to give that to us. I hope my father knows how much his hard work over the years made this all possible. As much as I try to be happy about my engagement and my plans, with each step I take, I think about the joy he would have received from watching his baby get married -and the fact that he won't see it happen kills me. He is still in hospice care and his condition is day to day. I make sure that every time I see him, I thank him and tell him I love him. Thats all I can do.

Congrats on your Temple!! So happy for you

I know this is so hard with your dad's condition, but I am sure it is a gift for him as well to be able to do this for you and to see you happy!! Plus it is wonderful that you are so thankful and appreciative!

Thank you. Not a day goes by that I don't show appreciation. My parents have three daughters and one son so planning for weddings was something they always kenw they'd have to do. FH and I are contributing to the wedding as well. It is the right thing to do at this stage of our lives.

Thanks and it is going to be redone completely by September. I do have a picture of the front of the sanctuary though that may be changed too after the major renovation. I know the seating will be different. Keep in mind that a chuppah and wedding flowers will be there instead of the potted flowers.
