This morning as I was walking to work, I saw the 2 bells used for the memorial...everyone stopped to watch it pass by.
It is very quiet in the city this morning. Let us all remember those who died in the tragic events of September 11th. May they Rest in Peace.

We had a moment of silence in the school i intern at... other than that i'm glad i didnt see/hear much about it (my nightmares would come back again- have had them every single yr )... its tough, but i jus cant wait till the day is through... i even found it hard to write the date down on my notes today

i bet it's weird.....................when i went to visit my firends dad at mount sinai there were signs posted all over that said do not honk and no one did it was weird cause i always think of the city as 'bustling with noise'...................

I know what you mean. I have to log everything that I do (to make sure things are accounted for) and writing 9/11/07 was tough.
I did go down to the site (as far as the cops would let me) to say a prayer. It was very surreal..hard to believe its been 6 years

Yes it is very quiet down here. This morning a federal reserve cop stood saluting at his post...very emotional

We prayed this morning in the school i teach at. It is difficut writing the date down.

I teach at an elementary school and it is weird to think that some of these kids have no idea what today means. I can remember every second of that day like it was yesterday.

I can too. It was just so weird how it was so quiet down there in the morning and in the evening when it was time to go home..

its always a tough day for anyone who was around it... strange to think it was so long ago already, to me...feels like yesterday... i had my students watch the names being read. I had to hear my friends names... i was pretty mad, my school did nothing, not an announcement, not a prayer service (catholic school you figure they would) I guess to them, its old news... To me, its an every day thought... ps- i understand about the nightmares... still get them
