This is totally something my FSIL would do. She tried bailing on the first time I got all of my girls together. She said she had a baby shower to go to. The shower was legit, however she hadnt seen the girl in like 10 years. Gotta love family.

How is your relationship with your SIL.... When I got engaged, my SIL did not even say congrats. Then when I asked her to be a BM she said no. She said I should have more important people to be a BM. Come to find out she was jealous because she wanted to get married. Sometimes it has nothing to do with you. You were surrounded by people who love you. That's all that matters. It's her lost. Don't let her steal your joy!!!

I thought our relationship was good until we started finalizing our wedding. January 1 after she paid her down payment on her bridemaids dress she called my fiance and said she didnt want to be in it. Now she saying she's doing it but I have to pay for her alterations. Now she didnt show up to my shower but she told my sister she was coming. I dont know what is going on with her but I just couldnt believe she didnt come but she had their mother bring her stuff like the party bags, cupcakes and etc from the shower.

Yup! ITA! It almost ALWAYS has nothing to do with you. It's some other reason that the person doesn't know how else to deal with or know who else to blame.
All that matters is the people that were there to support you and celebrate with you!
