So, it did pour for me this weekend!! My mom, the very bad liar that she is, finally got me to confess that I knew that it was this past Sunday! She also had to fess up because there was a 'wardrobe malfunction' on Friday night. (Dry cleaner RUINED a brand new dress but it all worked out ok. Mom bought me a new dress on Saturday just in time for the shower!)
My bridal party and my mother did an amazing job. They knew i LOVED waterzooi and I love tea. It was a tea party theme. They made CP's out of white teapots, a menu box where all the attendees sent in their favorite recipe and the CUTEST favor. A sugar cookie shaped like a fan with cherry blossoms. The cookies were pink and green (my colors). They put them in a bag and hand stamped all the bags with a pretty dress! My mom hired Irina from Creative i Photography but she hasn't sent me the proofs yet but when she does, I will post. She is FABULOUS.
The first gift I opened up was my grandmother's china. It was so special. I lost her four years ago and it's very sad that she's not with me to celebrate. She would have adored my FH and vice versa. I thought it was kismet that the first box I happened to choose was hers. It even had written on the box, in her handwriting 'mama's china.'

I absolutely adore old gifts from Grandmothers!!!!!!!! My Grandmother passed in 1996, at age 101. I am her namesake!!! Amongst many things, she gave me the Lane cedar chest that Grandfather gave her as a Wedding gift, and I also have her metal baby cup, her wedding rings, and some silver wedding spoons. My Mother gave Debi, Grandmother's silver set. Precious memories!!!!! And one of my favorite Grandma dishes, is an old cream colored bowl, that she use to bake mac and cheese in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yummy!!!!!!! I love her old Granny apron!!!! I'm thinking of having my Husband make a long shadow box display case, with a glass door, and display some of Grandmother's things, along with pics!!! I'll be looking forward to seeing your china!!!!! My Grandmother's china was split up, to give, and I only have five pieces. I'll take a pic of mine too!!!!! Mary MOB

It was such a great day and it's even possible, I love my family and friends so much more... I literally went around and hugged every person that was there. LOL

hiii! i'm good, I havent been on all week, I have actually been busy at work FH is good, we are waiting for one last set of tests to come back tomorrow- but so far everything is pointing to a virus- thanks for asking
