It really bothers me that people are making such a big deal over the milk price hike....

If you've EVER known a farmer in your life, you know that they BARELY make ends meet at the end of the year. I would GLADLY pay 5 dollars a gallon if it means they can live their lives a bit easier. I just hate that this has been all over the news. I mean, THINK ABOUT SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF FOR ONCE!

DH worked at a dairy growing up...and he said the cows are treated better than royalty (at least at this particular dairy) since if they are upset...they don't give milk...

and there are no males there...just females...they would get sperm shipped to them and DH had to ehhem...inseminate them...

I noticed that on a friday I paid 1.19 for milk then on monday was paying 1.39 for the same container.

Did it bother me, not at all. I was just like ok so milk went up.

Paid my 1.39 and moved on.

I dont see, whats the big deal???

I can understand if you have children and are going through a few gallons of milk a week that you may notice the hike more than me, but I think people think that the milk just comes from out of thin air. tHey don't realize that people are trying to make a living from it. And don't get me wrong, I'm no Suzy Do Gooder, this is just something that I happen to know a little bit about, and I KNOW from the farmers my family knows that they are barely breaking even at the end of the year. Let the earn at least a LITTLe profit.

We (in general) are a complaining bunch. What kills me about it is that a gallon of milk costs more then a gallon of gas. But, I probably wouldn't notice the price of milk went up if it wasn't in the papers.

They made a big thing about it on the news. If they didn't people probably would'nt have been so upset about it.
