It's almost official - going to VA this weekend.......

so FI can ask my parents to marry me!!!!!!

We've been keeping this under wraps for months and even totally lied on Friday night when one of FI's sister-in-laws asked if we were planning to get married.

He ordered a setting and my ring will be ready in about 4 weeks. He picked Good Old Gold for the stone and a Vatche Royal Crown setting. I won't get it for a while and he is being a little sneaky by having it shipped to his brother's house in NJ.

We plan to stay in VA for the weekend so he can meet all of my relatives and friends in VA (most of which he only speaks to over the phone). We are driving down on Thursday night. My brother and his family are also planning to drive up from North Carolina.

Alot of his family is also driving down to VA for the weekend. There is a surprise party for one of his nephews in the tidewater area on Friday night. I hope that my parents get to meet most of them. I'm not sure of the schedule at all but I know my dad would prefer to meet everyone.

My dad already really likes FI and told me that he knows FI would never let anything happen to me. Needless to say, dad is really protective of me (his only child).

I also need to get a new inspection sticker for my car by 10/31 so we are driving down in my car. LOL LOL
