It SHOWERED in Northport Yesterday!!! With Pics
I have to say, my sister got me. She had a little help she didn't know about. I honestly thought my shower was today, not yesterday.
To backtrack - with all the drama surrounding my BM dresses I begged one of my OOT BMs to tell me if she was coming so I could sort of relax about the issue of the dress being the wrong size. In every conversatin I had with her I kept saying the shower was Sunday, August 6 and she just went along with me at every turn. After all, since I had 'figured it out' who was she to tell me different!!![]()
I have known since the beginning my shower would be held at The View at Crab Meadow. My sister phoned in an award winning performance to get me to there. She called crying that she spilled coffee all over herself at work and needed a new shirt - and of course, noone was around but me. My mother had 'gone' to the theatre in the city, and her husband was MIA.
Here is where it gets fun. Since she was working a party I came in the back entrance to The View, and noone saw me come in. Caught my sister completely off guard!!![]()
FH drove me, since we were 'hanging out' when my sister called, so he made the obligatory appearance.
My brother is the banquet manager, food & beverage manager, and the head chef at The View and was responsible for all the food, which IMO, was yummy!!! My sister knows I love chicken rollatini, so she made sure it was part of the menu, together with prime rib and filet of sole.
Me, mom, and my brother
I was completely surrounded by people that love me - which made for an amazing day, and lots of amazing gifts!!!! I had lots of help from my FG, the one OOT BM who made it to the shower (in the green shirt), and my MOH/sister (in the pink shirt) to open gifts and make sure things went smoothly!
Of course, no shower is complete without 'the hat' put together by our very own Leslie (aka Goldi).
In addition to lifelong friends and family, I was VERY LUCKY to have been joined by my new friends from LIW. The '06 girls made a special day even more amazing with their love and generosity!!! Thank you ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was an amazing day, and I consider myself to be one very lucky woman, not only to have found the man of my dreams, but to be fortunate enough to have friends to share my happiness with!!!!
