I am Italian/spanish and FH is greek., his culture is overbearing and I want my family to enjoy our side as well as far as the italian side (which I was raised) We are doing the confetti, my mom is making me wear green pajamas...and she thinks im wearing a horn, I guess we will do the tarantella, what else?!?
Are you doing anything special like dances/ songs/ customs???????????
Nothing comes to mind, I need to represent.

Re: ITALIAN BRIDES/ WEDDINGsssss
well my FH is italian, I bought an italian horn that my mom sewed to my garter and one of the favors we are doing is the 5 jordan almonds. I found something about them for both the italian and the greek side.
ITALIAN WEDDINGS Five almonds signify five wishes for the bride and groom: health, wealth, happiness, fertility, and longevity. These almonds decorate each place setting as favors, tucked into pretty boxes or tulle bags called *bomboniere* that are often personalized with the couple's names and wedding date.
GREEK WEDDINGS Sugarcoated almonds in traditional Greek weddings are called *koufetta*. They are placed in little bags in odd numbers and are served on a silver tray. Odd numbers are indivisible, symbolizing how the newlyweds will share everything and remain undivided. Tradition holds that if an unmarried woman puts the almonds under her pillow, she'll dream of her future husband.

I'm not doing this but you can release a pair of white doves after the ceremony by the bride and groom to symbolize the couple's love and happiness.....that's a more modern Italian tradition!

My mom is actually getting the bomboniere flown in from Italy. She's been working with someone that comes from my grandparents home town.

I'm 100% Italian and my parents are off the boat. All the things you guys said are the typical Italian traditions. Of course, my parents are making me have a dj/mc who speaks Italian and English, so lots of Italian music and invites printed in Italian to send to family in Italy.
Oh, and at Marina Del Rey they have a guy at the Viennese hour walking around offering people from with a paper bar with zeppoles in powdered sugar. Which I think is so fun.
