I posted an earlier subject about astronomical prices for centerpieces ($350)...now I just want to know about the others:
My Bouquet: $200 (about 3 dozen roses, stephanotis, and something else I forgot )
MOH bouquet: $180 Bridal party bouquet: around $120
flowers for end of pews: approx. $100 a piece.
I have no idea how much bouquets run on the average, are these prices astronomical?

Those seem to be awfully high to me, I don't remember what I'm paying for each, but definitely NOT $120 for BM's bo-k's

I can only tell you what I paid:
$120 for my bouquet (callas, fressia, steph w/pearls)
$50 for BM and MOH (callas, roses, tulips, fressia, berries)

THe final cost for everything: $9,500 (I thought it was going to be $12,00...still, way too high). This was an estimate the florist gave me.
MY FI said at that price, he'll build a greenhouse and grow them himself, and make the arrangements!
I definately have to keep looking.

ALMOST $10,000!!! And you were expecting $12,000!!! I'm with Marcella on this one, these people must be using some VERY RARE flowers! Sheesh!!!
I have about 23 people in my BP (inc. FH & myself) about 25 centerpieces are needed, pew bows and parents and I would not even pay 5k! NO WAY!

I am paying about 120 for my bo-k (all roses) and $75 for my bms bo-k. I can't imagine what types of flowers your looking at to get to $300. Maybe it was a mistake.

Everyone is telling me that it has something to do with having a December wedding, that it's much more expensive for the flowers.
The florist is VERY HIGH END...TOO HIGH END FOR ME!!!
The flowers for the bouqets are 3 dozen roses, stephanotis.
The flowers in the centerpieces are hydrangeas (sp?), roses, orchids, and some green leafy thing.
I know other florists could do much better, and still give me the same arrangement.

You should definitely get another quote. It won't hurt.
Just to give you an idea, my bouquet has 5 dozen roses and I don't think it's costing me $200. And I don't think it's the 'stephanotis' that's jacking the price up for your bouquet.
