Exactly!! In fact, when my FH & I went shopping I told him to look at smaller stuff to save money. I told him I didn't need it & just wanted to marry him, but he insisted on me having my dream ring. I told her how I insisted he look at smaller stuff and she said 'I've MORE than earned it! Im not taking smaller!!' I wanted to spit fire! Earned it?
Aww...that's sweet. My ring isn't small so to speak..but it's not this HUGE diamond...that's jus tnot me. It's three diamonds...and he won't let me know how much I spent on it... but I DO know that it was over 2k! He doesn't want me to yell at him for going over-board! I'll get it out of him one of these days! LOL

I had a girl at work tell me my ring was too small.>I'm like...hey...i'm 24 and getting married...you're 37 and SINGLE...and mine was well worth every penny...none the less I looove it and it's ME right on the nose...plus..FH picked it out all on HIS own! HAHAHA
WHAT?? That's so rude!! It's not about the size!! It's about the love behind it and your personal style!! Ugh, some ppl are so ignorant. Besides, you can have a big diamond and if it's not well cut, w/good color & clarity it'll be worth less than a much smaller stone!

My ring is one diamond in the middle with small ones on the side. I fell in love with it when I first saw it. I ask him how did he pay for it...He never answered. I love FH more and more every time I look at our ring.

Its funny...we were together for 5 years..so we always talked wedding... he one day pulled up tiffany.com and told me to design my ring. Sooo...away I went. Then about 7 months later I got my ring. On our 4 year anniversary! He couldn't remeber HOW many stones I wanted...but remembered the cut and clarity and everything eles. I originally wanted a 5 diamond...but this 3 is sooo much bettter bc he more or less picked it out. It isn't normally something I would have picked. So there's more love behind it.

Awww, I hear ya. I get so happy whenever I look at it. My FH & I picked it out together b/c we felt like since I'm wearing it forever he wanted to make sure it was 100% what I wanted. It was still a surprise when he proposed b/c I thought it was gonna take months to make the ring and he rush ordered it so he had it in time for our trip to Carmel, CA & proposed at a spa/vineyard. It was so romantic and I was so shocked I could barely speak. Mine is a centerstone w/5 diamonds on each side.
