Its been a while-- How Old Is Everyone?

i am 24. i will be 25 when i get married.

i think the right age for everyone is different. i know a couple that got married too young. I knew they would end up divorced because the bride saw the wedding as a huge party for everyone to focus on her... instead of a celebration of love for her and her husband. i also know people that got married young and are still together. it really depends on the couple.

when we get married, it'll be 4 days after my 26th b-day

FH will be 26, going on 27

the first time I got married I was 20... huge mistake. I also thought I was ready but I was clueless.
I married for the wrong reason and I don't think I really understood the true meaning of marriage.
Now I'm marrying at 36 --- I had to choose the last option. Sometimes I feel really old on this site but I always come back because the girls here are so helpful. I'll admit though that I can't relate when the girls talk about studying to finish up a degree -- that part of my life is long over

I got married when I was a few weeks short of turning 25. It was the perfect age for me. I feel that by that age I had matured enough emotionally & was ready at that point.

I don't think there's any one right age for getting married, I think it varies widely depending on a person's maturity level, priorities, and also when they happen to meet the right person.

But I do think the teenage years are too early to get married. I teach HS and I have a student who is 17 and married... NOT pregnant either and she had a regular wedding (didn't elope)... but the thing is she is SO immature... if she behaved like an adult I'd think ok whatever, but she behaves like such a kid (because that's what she is).... so the fact that she is married already just leaves me shaking my head.
